The Flippers were once a singe piece of clothing players could equip in The Forest. However, in the Sons of the Forest, the item has been removed, and instead, is part of the 
Wetsuit outfit. If you intend to remove the flippers from your outfit, then you need to change from the wetsuit into something else.
This is because each piece of clothing has different characteristics. The Wetsuit is designed to look like its meant for swimming, and will ensure your character does not lose as much energy, thirst or hunger quicker while handling wet situations. Meanwhile, it will also protect against the cold and wet status effect, which will eat through your energy bar. So, when you’re done with the Wetsuit and its Flippers, then change your outfit to something more appropriate.
